NASA will launch a space shuttle for the last time today at 11:26 a.m. EDT (1526 GMT).
Atlantis will liftoff from its seaside Launch Pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It will be NASA’s 135th shuttle mission since the program began 30 years ago.
The Atlantis will go on a 12 day mission with commander Chris Ferguson, pilot Doug Hurley and mission specialists Sandra Magnus and Rex Walheim.
